Indian Navy organises technical seminar on readiness towards enhanced combat effectiveness

New Delhi: Technical seminar (TECHSEM 2022) was organised by Indian Navy at INS Shivaji on the central theme of Marine Engineering 2030-IN Readiness towards Enhanced Combat Effectiveness (Marine Engineering).

Vice Admiral Sandeep Naithani (AVSM, VSM) Chief of Materiel was the Chief Guest for the seminar. Papers were presented during the seminar under sub-themes of 'Technological Advancement/ Challenges in Operation & Maintenance of On-board Machinery Controls (Machinery Controls)', 'Self-Reliance/Atmanirbhar Bharat – Ideas for Standardisation in New Generation Ships (Atmanirbhar Bharat)' and 'Changing Marine Engineering Environment and Readiness to Adapt Electric/Hybrid Propulsion (Electric Propulsion)'.

Presentations by prominent speakers, OEMs and academicians of international repute and subject matter experts from Indian Navy on the theme of the seminar exposed the audience to the latest and emerging technologies (Latest technologies) in the field of Marine Engineering.

Prominent OEMs like GE Power Conversion, GE Marine, L&T, L3 Harris, Rolls Royce, MTU, Walchandnagar India Ltd and Shree Ref participated in the Seminar and presented the papers.
