New Delhi: United Kingdom Minister for Defence Procurement Mr Jeremy Quin on Monday called on Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi. Both sides discussed the opportunities available in areas of aviation, shipbuilding and other defence industrial programmes.

In a tweet, Rajnath Singh welcomed the UK's announcement of an Open General Export License to facilitate industry collaboration between both countries.

He said India is looking forward to co-development and co-production with partner nations in the defence domain. "Had a wonderful meeting with the UK Minister of Defence Procurement, Mr. Jeremy Quin. We discussed the opportunities available in areas pertaining to aviation, ship building and other defence industrial programmes for both the countries", he tweeted.

"I welcome the UK's announcement of an Open General Export License to facilitate industry to industry collaboration between both the countries. We are looking forward to co-development and co-production with partner nations in the defence domain", the defence minister added in the second tweet.

During the meeting of both sides, Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar and UK CDS Admiral Sir Tony Radakin also participated.
