Lt Gen MU Nair takes over as 28th Signal Officer in Chief
New Delhi: Lt Gen MU Nair has taken charge as 28th Signal Officer-in-Chief. He took over the charges from Lt Gen Milind Bhurke. Later Lt Gen Nair laid a wreath at the National War Memorial to pay homage to the bravehearts. Indian Army in a tweet said, "Lt Gen MU Nair took over as 28th Signal Officer-in-Chief from Lt Gen Milind Bhurke. The SO-in-C also laid a wreath at the National War Memorial to pay homage to the bravehearts."
Lt Gen Nair has headed the Military College of Telecommunication Engineering, the premier technical Institution of the Indian Army at Mhow. He has vast experience both in the technical arm of the Corps of Signals and the General Staff matters of the Indian Army.
An alumnus of the prestigious National Defence Academy, the General was awarded Sena Medal in 2019. Known for his relentless zeal and straightforward approach he has also tenanted coveted appointments of Additional Director General, Signal Intelligence, Chief of Staff of a Corps and Command.
The General comes in with rich experience in domains of Cyber Warfare, Military Operations, Signal Intelligence and Information Technology-related matters at national and international levels.
