New Delhi: Lieutenant General C Bansi Ponnappa, AVSM, VSM assumed the appointment of Adjutant General of the Indian Army on 01 April 2022. An Adjutant General is a military chief administrative officer.

On being appointed as Adjutant General, Lt Gen Ponnappa paid wreath & paid homage to bravehearts at  National War Memorial.

Lt Gen C Bansi Ponnappa was serving as the Deputy Chief of Army Staff (IS & C) of the Indian Army before taking the charge today. He has the distinction of commanding the prestigious Vajra Army.
