New Delhi/ Jammu: The Indian Army and the Jammu University have signed a memorandum of understanding for certification of the Bhaderwahi Language Course for Indian Army personnel serving in the Jammu region.
A defence spokesman said the Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Rector Bhaderwah Campus Professor Rahul Gupta and Commanding Officer Rashtriya Rifles Colonel Rajat Parmar, representing Jammu University and the Indian Army respectively in the presence of officers from both sides.
The Bhaderwahi Language Course will be conducted jointly by the instructors of the Indian Army and external academicians well versed in the Bhaderwahi language, followed by validation by Bhaderwah Campus Jammu University. This will be the norm for future courses as well.
Speaking on this occasion the Commanding Officer Rashtriya Rifles appreciated the University of Jammu especially the Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu and Rector, Bhaderwah Campus for assistance in getting the MoU signed which will pave way for getting a certificate on completion of the course from Jammu University.
He said such collaboration will further strengthen the bond between the Indian Army and the University of Jammu, especially the Bhaderwah Campus and this will go a long way in the development of society and Nation Building.
Speaking on the occasion, Professor Rahul Gupta congratulated the Indian Army for such an initiative to promote the Bhaderwahi language.
