New Delhi: Indian Air Force is organising on May 10, Tuesday a one-day seminar on its indigenisation requirement and opportunities for the domestic MSME industry. IAF said in a statement that the seminar will provide a unique opportunity for industry reps to interact directly with IAF personnel and to understand the requirements of the armed force.

The theme of the seminar that IAF is organizing with PhD Chambers of Commerce is "Indigenisation Requirements of IAF: Opportunities for MSMEs". "#IAF is organising a one-day seminar on "Indigenisation Requirements of IAF: Opportunities for MSMEs" on 10 May 22. The seminar will provide a unique opportunity for industry reps to interact directly with #IAF personnel & understand IAF requirements", the IAF said in a tweet.

The Ministry of Defence and the three armed forces are focusing on Make in India in tune with the Government's mission of Aatm Nirbhar Bharat or Self reliant India. It has set a target of 70 percent self-reliant in weaponry in the next five years or by 2027. The role of MSME becomes crucial to achieving this goal.
