French Top Armed Force Official meets Army Chief in New Delhi

New Delhi: General Thierry Carlier, Director of the International Directorate, French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA), today met with Chief of the Army Staff General MM Naravane in New Delhi.

The Indian Army said in a statement that during the meeting both sides deliberated on the ways to further enhance the defence cooperation.

Defence cooperation is an important pillar of a deep strategic partnership between India & France that extends to a range of key areas including defence, space and civil nuclear sectors.

In recent years, the two countries have expanded their engagement in a number of other critical areas such as the evolving strategic dynamics in the Indo-Pacific, artificial intelligence, supercomputing, cyber security and space security.
