New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) on Thursday, July 11, announced an amendment to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) Security Wing (Subordinate Rank) Rules, introducing a 10% reservation for ex-Agniveers.
The DGs of other para military forces also announced the relaxations of such type.
This decision, aimed at integrating skilled veterans into the CISF and other forces, marks a pivotal shift in recruitment policies within India’s paramilitary forces.
Under the new guidelines, candidates from the ex-Agniveer community will benefit from a relaxation in the upper age limit, extended by up to five years for the initial batch.
“The upper age limit shall be relaxable up to five years for the candidates of the first batch of ex-Agniveers. Ten percent of the vacancies shall be reserved for ex-Agniveers,” said a notification published by the ministry.
Subsequent batches will also see a three-year age limit extension. Notably, ex-Agniveers will be exempted from the physical efficiency test.
