New Delhi: The Chairman and Managing Director of Defence PSU Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL) R Madhavan today handed over a cheque of Rs 653.36 cr as second interim dividend cheque for FY 2021-22 to the Minister of Defence Rajnath Singh.
Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar and Additional Secretary Sanjay Jaju were also present on the occasion.
The Company had declared the second interim dividend of Rs 26/- per equity share of Rs 10/- each, in addition to the first interim dividend of Rs 14/- per equity share Rs 10/- each.
The company last week announced that it had recorded highest ever revenue of over Rs 24,000 crore (provisional and unaudited) for the financial year 2021-22, registering a six per cent growth over the previous fiscal. The corresponding figure for the previous year stood at Rs 22,755 crore. Mr Madhavan had said, "Despite the challenges of the second wave of Covid-19 during the first quarter of the year and the consequent production loss, the Company could meet the targeted revenue growth with improved performance during the balance period of the year."
It has handed over the first set of hardware for space mission "Gaganyaan" to the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) yesterday.
