GRSE pays interim dividend of Rs 42.24 crore to Government for FY 2021-22
New Delhi: Defence Public Sector Undertaking (DPSU) Miniratna shipyard, Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE), has paid an interim dividend of Rs 42.24 crores to the Government of India.
Chairman and Managing Director of GRSE Commodore PR Hari (Retd) handed over the interim dividend cheque of Rs 42.24 crore for Financial Year 2021-22 to Defence Minister Mr Rajnath Singh in New Delhi, today. Defence Secretary Dr Ajay Kumar and Additional Secretary Sanjay Jaju were also present on the occasion.
The company had announced a 10 per cent jump in net profit to Rs 63 crore for the third quarter ending December 2021 amid Covid disruptions.
The revenue from operations was Rs 486 crore during the quarter under review, against Rs 359 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Since its inception in 1960, the GRSE has the distinction of being the only defence shipyard to have delivered more than 100 warships (107 warships as on date).
