The submarine is a stretched variant of the Arihant-class SSBNs, with a displacement of 7,000 tons (compared to 6,000 tons for earlier models) and a length of 125 meters.
In addition to this replacement, India is set to enhance its drone capabilities further with a $3.5 billion deal for 31 MQ-9B Sea/SkyGuardian drones, with deliveries expected to start in 2029.
