BEML signs MoU with Wipro Infrastructure Engineering

Bangalore: Defence PSU BEML Limited and Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Monday. Under this MoU, both organisations jointly to works in Aerospace, Industrial Automation, 3D Printing, Artificial Intelligence, and Hydraulic System Engineering. This is a first of its kind MoU for Wipro Infrastructure Engineering with a large public sector Enterprise in India. The MoU has been signed by BEML's CMD D K Hota and Pratik Kumar, CEO, WIE in presence of senior officials of both organisations.

Purpose of MoU

'The MoU between BEML and Wipro entails working together on projects, products, systems, services and projects in Defence, Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) Labs, DPSUs and other relevant government entities in India as well as export customers. The key focus areas include aerospace components and parts through SEZ, metal additive manufacturing and design optimization for new critical aggregates, legacy components & spares, and process automation,' said a press release.

During the signing of the MOU, D K Hota said, “This partnership will help both companies to make a significant contribution to indigenisation and ‘Make in India’ initiatives of the Government of India. This will provides us with access to WIPRO’s capabilities, experience, and skill. It enhances the business interests of both organizations.”
