New Delhi: Defence PSU Bharat Dynamics Ltd (BDL) has received orders for Konkurs-M ATGM worth Rs 632.88 crore from the Indian Army. In a regulatory filing to the stock exchanges, BDL said, “… this is to inform that BDL has received Konkurs-M ATGM order along with launchers and test equipments worth Rs 632.88 cr. (Including Taxes).” The Konkurs-M ATGM launchers and test equipments were earlier imported from Russia. However, these were indigenously designed and developed by BDL only recently and the indigenous version was launched by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in August 2020.
The order book of the company now stands at Rs 8,100 crore, said BDL.
Atmanirbhar Bharat: Konkurs-M ATGM launchers and test equipments
The Konkurs-M ATGM launchers and test equipments were launched as part of the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ week celebrated during August 7-14, 2020. The Konkurs Missile Test Equipment is designed for checking the serviceability of Konkurs-M anti-tank guided missiles. Konkurs Launcher Test Equipment is designed and developed for checking the serviceability of Konkurs-M missile launchers.

The realisation of the indigenous equipment will take forward the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ abhiyan initiated by the government and is expected to lead to substantial foreign exchange saving for the country in the future, BDL had said at the time. The Konkurs-M ATGM are a Second Generation, mechanised infantry ATGM, to destroy armoured vehicle equipped with Explosive Reactive Armour, moving and stationary targets.
After closing at Rs 345.05 apiece on Tuesday, BDL share prices opened at Rs 354.15 on Wednesday and touched a high of Rs 360.30 in the afternoon.
