New Delhi: The Chief of Royal Australian Navy Vice Admiral Michael Noonan on Monday met Chief of Army Staff General MM Naravane in New Delhi. During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to further strengthen the bilateral military cooperation.

In a tweet, the Indian Army, said, "Vice Admiral Michael Noonan, Chief of Royal Australian Navy called on General MM Naravane #COAS and discussed ways to further strengthen the Defence Cooperation between the two countries."

Vice Admiral Michael is on the visit of India to participate in the Indian Navy's biggest multilateral exercise, MILAN-2022, which is underway in Visakhapatnam, the HQs of the Eastern Naval Command. As many as 13 foreign naval warships and 39 countries are participating in the mega exercise.

Both India and Australia are part of the Quad Grouping along with Japan and the U.S. and share strategic military partnerships.
