Arun Kumar Garg (IDSE) appointed as Deputy Secretary in Power Ministry

Arun Kumar Garg (IDSE) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Power

New Delhi: Arun Kumar Garg (IDSE) has been selected for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Power, Delhi. According to an order from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), he has been selected for the appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme for a period of four years with effect from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Garg is an Indian Defence Service of Engineers (IDSE) officer of 2004-batch. He was recommended for central deputation by the Ministry of Defence. "He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Ministry of Power," the order added.

Further, in a separate order issued on the same day, the central government has selected Chandrajit Chatterjee (ISS), for the appointment as Deputy Secretary in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. He has also been selected for appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a period of four years from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever event takes place earlier.

Chatterjee is an Indian Statistical Service (ISS) officer. "He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignment in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare," the order read.
