GSL & Kenya Shipyard sign MoU in ship design & construction

The MoU was signed after bilateral talks between Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Kenyan Cabinet Secretary for Defence Mr Aden Bare Duale.

New Delhi: A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Goa Shipyard Ltd and Kenya Shipyard Limited in the field of capacity building and for collaboration in ship design and construction on August 29, 2023 in New Delhi.

The MoU was signed after bilateral talks between Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Kenyan Cabinet Secretary for Defence Mr Aden Bare Duale.

Last week Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) in Vasco marked a significant milestone with the Keel laying ceremony for four Coast Guard Fast Patrol Vessels (FPVs) and the inauguration of the GSL integrated stores complex. Defence Secretary Giridhar Aramane, IAS, had graced the ceremony on Friday, commending the efforts of Goa Shipyard and highlighting the importance of nurturing the shipbuilding industry in India.
