Dehradun: The passing out parade of the Indian Military Academy (IMA) 2023 will be held on Saturday, June 10. A total of 374 cadets will pass out in the ceremony, including 42 cadets from seven friendly countries.
Chief of the Army Staff General Manoj Pandey will take the salute at the parade.
According to the IMA officials, there will be a graduation ceremony on June 2, in which cadets of the Army Cadet College wing will be conferred with degrees from Jawaharlal Nehru University. After this all these cadets will become part of the academy.
On June 8, there will be a Commandant Parade and Award Ceremony at the academy, in which cadets who have excelled during military training will be rewarded.
A day before the main passing out parade i.e. on June 9, a multi activity display show will be organized at the Academy.
IMA came into existence on October 1, 1932. In the last 91 years, the Academy has increased its training capacity from 40 to 1650 Gentleman Cadets. So far 64,489 Gentlemen Cadets have passed out from the Academy. It also includes 2843 foreign cadets from 36 friendly countries.
