New Delhi: Lieutenant General Ravin Khosla has taken over as the Deputy Chief of Army Staff (IS & C) of the Indian Army. The General Officer has the distinction of commanding the prestigious Gajraj Corps.
Lt Gen Khosla had an eventful tenure of more than a year in Gajraj Corps at Tezpur. The formation augmented its operational capabilities, both in conventional operations, as well as in the counter-insurgency operations in its area of responsibility in Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, during his tenure.
In the Unified Command HQ Mechanism, he was the chairman of the Operational Group, which was responsible for executing the Counter Insurgency/ Counter-Terrorism operations in Assam.
Lt Gen Khosla has served in important command and staff appointments both in Jammu and Kashmir and the Northeast.
Before Commanding Gajraj Corps, he served in the Integrated Headquarters of the Ministry of Defence (Army) where he was holding the appointment of Director General (Manpower Planning and Personnel Services). He also served in Sri Lanka during Operation Pawan.
For his illustrative service, he has been awarded Ati Vishist Sewa Medal, Sena Medal and the Vishisht Seva Medal.
